Two men arrested for procuring goods with fraudulent document

Mehmet Eminoğlu, one of the well-known businessmen here in North Cyprus, was arrested on the grounds of using false documents and procuring goods with fraud papers”.  

Mehmet Eminoğlu, was arrested together with his alleged accomplice, Serdar Özbekoğlu.

The suspects were brought to court yesterday 26 July 2019 in Kyrenia.

Halil Drangoz, a police officer in Kyrenia Judicial Branch, who gave information to the court, said a fake document was used on the transfer of two separate apartments in Güzelyurt, owned by Gizem Aksun, on 04 July 2019, the fake document were approved by Özbekoğlu.

Police said that the complaint was made on July 26, the suspects were arrested the previous day.  

The police said that the investigation was continuing and that there were documents to be examined. The court ordered the suspects to remain in custody for 3 days and to undergo medical examination.
