The startling scene was recorded by a CCTV camera at Bethesda Hospital in the city of Joinville in the southern Brazilian state of Santa Catarina.
The footage shows Nathan Chaves Martins, 21, carrying his wife, Gabriella Custodio Silva, 20, through the hospital reception and into the emergency room.
The video starts with the Martins running into the reception to alert medics, before he runs back outside.
He then reappears with his wife limp in his arms, and local media reported that he had driven the woman to hospital in the boot of his car.
As a female medic appears, Martins runs through the reception with Ms Silva in his arms.

Local news outlet NSC Total reported Ms Silva was brought to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest and she later died despite the doctors spending 20 minutes trying to resuscitate her.
She had reportedly arrived at the hospital without vital signs and she died from her injuries.

The director of the hospital, Hilario Dalmann, told reporters:
The people who were there, the security guard and staff, saw here arrive in the boot.
After he left her, he went to get the documents to register her at the hospital but he never returned.

What we have so far is that her partner fired the shot against her.
The investigator added that the Martins had driven home after taking the victim to hospital and dropped his car off before leaving.
His mother reportedly gave a statement to police saying she had heard a gunshot at her home but she did not see the couple after hearing the shot.
The police are still searching for Martins.
