North Cyprus government make changes to resident permit and visa application
The Turkish Cypriot Council of Ministers has made some changes to immigration rules and resident permits.
In a meeting on Tuesday, the Council of Ministers made decisions to change and regulates the issuance of Visas which regulates entry into the country and resident Permit which regulates stay of foreigners in the country.
The new change will help overcome the problems with regards to informality, regulate visa types, terms, conditions and cancellation.
The new change which will come into force in the next three months will allow, for example foreigner over 60 years of age to remain in the country without a resident permit while defaulters will be provided a one year transition period to register.
