Man arrested with fake bank note in Girne hotel, police issues alert

A 35-year-old man lodging in a hotel in Girne, North Cyprus was found with fake 50 Turkish Lira bank notes.

The man identified only with the initials M.M.T was found with the fake bank notes totaling 400 TL after spending it in the hotel casino.

While he was arrested, police issued a warning to the public about the likely circulation of the market notes. 

Individuals, banks, financial institutions are advised to take caution and report anyone with fake bank notes to the police.
