Along with suspects Tanveer Ahmad, Ali Hassan and Azmad Ali Virk,
Zahid Masood and Imram Arshan are believed to have fled to South Cyprus —
and a request for their extradition is expected to follow one already
made for the first three.
Key new suspect Zahid Masood is believed to have taken possession of
the Gesfi Exchange Bureau owner’s briefcase, said to contain currency
valued at around £400,000, after Mr Naim was shot four times on March 13
outside his home near Ortaköy Lemar Supermarket in Lefkoşa. He died in
hospital.
Masood had been arrested previously for a string of alleged crimes
including armed threats and assault, forced entry and smuggling but had
been released on bail.
