Customer stole phone from a saloon in Girne, then tried to unlock it

After stealing a phone from a hair dressing saloon, he decided to unlock it so he can use it.

A customer who stole a phone at a hotel hairdressing shop in Girne has been caught and arrested.

The suspect reportedly stole a Samsung C5 placed on a bench in the salon on March, 21. Police said the suspect gave the phone to a phone operator in Girne to help unlock it the next day.

He was identified and arrested on Monday March, 25 and brought to a Girne court on Tuesday on charges of theft. 

He was ordered by the court to remain in detention for a period of one month.
