1 dead, 2 injured in the accident on the Ercan- Iskele Highway
At least one person has died and two others injured in a road accident between kilometer 4-5 at the Ercan-Iskele road on Sunday.
The incident reportedly happened at about 4:30pm on Sunday as a result of reckless driving by a 50-year-old woman.
According to media report, a vehicle driven by a 50-year-old woman and another driven by a 27-year-old woman coming in the opposite direction collided head-on.
One of the vehicle somersaulted to the left side of the road following the impact of the collision.
The 27-year-old driver died in the incident despite medical intervention while the other driver and a 35-year-old passenger were injured in the incident.
They were moved to the Lefkosa State hospital.
