Nobody enjoyed Atletico Madrid’s Champions League victory over Juventus more than manager Diego Simeone.
And the Argentine legend sent social media alight with one moment in
particular on Thursday morning (AEDT); his wild — and fairly
questionable — celebration of his side’s first goal.
The home side had already been on the wrong side of two VAR decisions, including a disallowed goal to Alvaro Morata, when defender Jose Maria Gimenez finally broke the deadlock in the 78th minute.
Simeone responded emphatically, gesturing with his genitals towards a section of the crowd to sum up both his frustration and his personal investment in the result against Cristiano Ronaldo’s team.
