Chelsea wants Mauro Icardi

Chelsea could have a free run to sign Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi. 

The 25-year-old Argentine has been dropped from the Inter team and stripped of the captaincy of the side. The cause has been the disagreement between Inter and his wife, Wanda Nara, over contractual disagreements. 

That source of tension has put off Real Madrid from attempting to sign the player, which has led the Sun to report that Chelsea could take the lead in attempting to sign him.

***If Icardi’s agent and wife is really to hard to negotiate with then it makes sense to move him on from Inter, but there are plenty of other agents who speak out against sides’ transfer policies. Icardi is a brilliant player and at 25 has both potential and time to improve his game - being at Inter does not appear to promise much in terms of trophies, so perhaps it is best for him to move on to Chelsea.
