Three people arrested for illegal residency in Famagusta
The Famagusta Police Department and Special Operations Directorate has arrested and detained three people for illegal residency in the TRNC following a police operation in the area on Friday last week.
The operation was carried out between the hours of 9:00pm on Friday and 1:00am on Saturday.
Within the scope of the operation, casinos, night clubs, bet offices, coffeehouses, hostels and vehicles in the area were checked.
A total of 9 persons who were found in a casino were banned from entering the casino.
Three people were arrested for illegal residency and legal proceedings were initiated against them.
As a result of the inspections carried out by the traffic teams, 620 vehicles were checked and 116 vehicles were marked for further processing, while 3 vehicles were banned from traffic due to various offenses.
