Part of İskele-Karpaz road collapsed, police issues warning

Part of the İskele-Karpaz road has collapsed due to damage caused by heavy rain on New Year's Day.

According to police report, the section opposite the Yeşilköy K-Pet petrol station collapsed due to the force of the rainwater current on the Avtepe-Gelincik road and the accumulation of water and rocks.

Traffic has been reduced to a single lane.

Police have warned motorists of possible mud slides and to slowly and carefully.

Traffic is closed to the road between Kalecik and Tuzluca. 

A route is available via Kalecik village.
