Güzelyurt dam overflows, road closed

The Güzelyurt dam has overflowed, according to a police statement.
A section of the Güzelyurt-Lefkoşa road has been closed to traffic, between the Güzelyurt Manisa Bulvarı and the Mevlevi-Şahinler roundabout.

Motorists are advised to use the Şahinler-Zümrütköy-Akçay-Güzelyurt route instead.

Meanwhile, the Aslanköy-Paşaköy road has been closed to traffic, due to flooding.
A police statement advises motorists travelling to Paşaköy to use the alternative route of Turunçlu.
