Woman who had sex with adopted son multiple times, jailed

A woman who had sex with her adopted son multiple times, has been jailed following her arrest in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA.

Lauren Myres who had been divorced from her husband for just nine days before her arrest,  was a caseworker for fostering organisation Families First Network – and the boy had been assigned to her for care.

The 26-year-old lady who decided to adopt the boy as her son, was nabbed in the sex act after the adoption process had been completed. She was arrested after the police received a tip about an inappropriate relationship between Myres and the 17-year-old victim. The woman who had sex with her adopted son, reportedly told investigators they had sex multiple times over a two-month period.

While the boy insisted they did nothing wrong, Myres, who pleaded no contest, was sentenced on Thursday to six years in prison for one count of unlawful sexual activity with certain minors. WJHG reported that court documents said she admitted to cops that they slept together “seven to eight times”.

The jailed woman who will be placed on sex offender probation for four years, has also been ordered to complete sex offender counselling. She has also been ordered not to have any contact with the victim or minors.
