Student Dormitory worker arrested for 22,552 TL embezzlement

A woman has been arrested for and charged with the embezzlement of rents she collected from a student residence in Lefkosa.

The accused Ikram Al Halbih,  was arrested on Wednesday and taken to a court in Lefkosa on charges of embezzlement.

According to report by Turkish Cypriot daily, Havadis, Ikram Al Halbih, who works in a Student Dormitory operated by Raif Ahmet Sungur in Lefkosa, was arrested on charges of stealing 22,552 TL from the rent collected.

She committed the crime from October 22, 2018 to December 9, 2018.

She was detained for 5 days in order for investigation to be caried out.
