3 arrested for illegal residency and 20 people banned from entering casinos in Lefkosa and Iskele

At least 3 people were arrested for illegal residency in the TRNC and 20 people banned from entering casinos in Lefkosa and Iskele following a police peace operation in the two regions on Friday night.

Public peace and traffic audits were carried out by Turkish Cypriot police in Lefkosa and Iskele between  the hours of 9:00pm and 12:00 am on Friday.

Casinos, night clubs, yacht houses, Parks, Churches in Terminal, Lefkosa and Iskele were raided in the operation.

20 persons were forbidden to enter the casinos while 3 persons residing in a work house without a resident permit were arrested and legal proceedings initiated against them.

In the same operation, 315 vehicles were checked and 83 vehicles were determined to have committed crimes and 6 vehicles were banned from traffic due to various crimes.
