Man murders wife at their home in Gönyeli, then commits suicide

The bodies of a man and a woman were found in their home in Gönyeli in the early hours of Monday morning in what police suspect would be murder- suicide.

The bodies belonging to Hasan Yılmaz Karasalih, 63, a plumber, who appears to have strangled his wife Sevinç Karasalih, 60 and then committed suicide by electrocuting himself were found at their home in Gönyeli at 5am on Monday.

According to media report, Hasan Karasalih had called his sister before the incident. 

The couple had two children and grandchildren.

In July, a man shot and killed his wife with a hunting rifle and in October, another man stabbed a woman to death in Gonyeli.
