Two Iranian students working as student assistants in EMU arrested for issuing fake transcript

Two Iranian students, including one working as a student assistant at the student affairs office in Eastern Mediterranean University in Famagusta were arrested for issuing fake transcript.

Behnam Seydi and Bamdat Razavi were arrested in connection with the crime on Wednesday.

Behnam Seydi, was arrested for issuing a transcript on behalf of Razavi, a student at the Faculty of Pharmacy who wished to transfer to another university, while Razavi, was arrested for aiding Seydi. 

They were brought before a Famagusta court on Wednesday.

The two students refused to accept the charges brought against him.

The police also stated that Sidi has sent out Razavi's lecture notes and has sent to Iran to prepare a counterfeit transcript for Razavi's lecture notes.

The two were given a three day detention order pending investigation.
