Student caught with drug to face trial in a Lefkosa court

Student who was caught with about 100 grams of drug in Lefkosa have been paraded in court for drug crime.

The student identified as Omar Alabed, from Syria was arrested by the TRNC Directorate of Narcotics and Prevention team in Lefkosa last week after he was caught with approximately 100 grams of drugs.

He was taken to a Lefkosa court on Monday charges of unlawful drug saving.

Police said an investigation was launched against the suspect September,11, 2018, and about 467 milligrams of spooky type drugs was found on him.

The suspect confessed to importing drugs from Southern Cyprus the same day.
