Information of everyone watching TV on the internet will go to RTÜK

The TRNC Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK), has issued a new regulation issued, that will allow it gain access to all personal information of everyone watching TV broadcasts on their channel preferences.

RTÜK gathered on Tuesday to discuss the draft regulation on internet and radio and TV broadcasts.

The meeting, which lasted for 4 and a half hours, was adopted by a majority of votes, which brought broad control and censorship authority to the TV and radio broadcasts.

 

The main purpose of the regulation is to subject the broadcasts of the television organizations via the Internet to the RTÜK. In addition, the television will also need to obtain a license for broadcasting over the internet.
 
What the application means:
Subscriber numbers and any information about the subscription will be routinely communicated at the end of each year, but the RTÜK will be able to receive this information whenever they wish.  
Netflix, Amazon Prime, BluTV, PuhuTV, Tivibu, Digiturk, millions of subscribers such as D-Smart Go, Turkcell TV +, Vodafone TV, FilBox, Smart TV, tablet and mobile phone The total time of watching will be in the hands of RTÜK and BTK, and indirectly the government will have all the personal data related to the relationship between the subscribers of the online TV platforms called'n IPTV hükümet and the subscription agreement.
