Paper Round: United chase Boateng, Thibaut Courtois set for talks over move to Spain

Thibaut Courtois is set for talks with Maurizio Sarri on Monday whilst Manchester United have started discussions for Jerome Boateng. It's Monday's Paper Round.

Courtois set for Chelsea talks 

The Independent report that Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is set for showdown talks with new manager Maurizio Sarri on Monday. Courtois' agent has been vocal about his client's desire to join Real Madrid but Sarri wants to hear it from Courtois in person. Real still haven't met Chelsea's valuation and the Blues have no replacement lined up. 

Man Utd open negotiations for Boateng 

The Mirror carry a  story citing Bild which states that Manchester United have opened talks with Bayern Munich over the transfer of centre-back Jerome Boateng. Any potential deal could cost £45 million but PSG are still interested in the Germany international. 

West Ham target Lucas Perez

The Mirror report that West Ham are interested in signing Lucas Perez from Arsenal. The 29-year-old forward spent last season at Deportivo and new Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini wants a back-up to Marko Arnautovic. 

Everton close in on Mina 

The Mirror have the news that Everton are closing in on the signing of Yerry Mina from Barcelona. The centre-back is set to join for £28.5 million having failed to impress Ernesto Valverde since joining Barcelona in January.
