5 seriously wounded in explosion at Hamitköy

Five people were seriously wounded in an explosion at a company vicinity in the western part of Hamitköy on Monday evening.

The incident happened at about 5:00pm on Monday evening while the company workers were carrying out an asphalting work in the shooting area in the western part of Hamitköy.

Five workers were seriously injured in the explosion and were taken to the Near East Hospital in two ambulances.

One of them is said to have lost one of his arm in the accident.

Police are investigating the incident.
