Man mistakenly set house on fire in Dumlupınar,

Why are there so many fire incidents in North Cyprus recently? even when it's still very much winter... In the second fire incidence of the day, a Turkish Cypriot man has mistakenly set his house on fire after trying to burn a wooden sofa with fuel on Monday afternoon in Dumlupınar, North Cyprus.

According to report, the a23-year-old man identified as Ahmet Aktas, who lived in a detached apartment with his family at No. 14, Dere Yolu street, Dumlupınar, started the fire when he tried to burn a wooden sofa with gasoline.

According to police report, the fire broke out at about 2:30pm and that part of the house and several valuables and properties were badly damaged by the fire.

The flames were put off following the intervention of fire crew.

Aktas was slightly injured in the incident and was taken to the hospital.
