Public schools in TRNC to remain shut down on Monday

All public schools in North Cyprus will be closed on Monday, January, 8, announced the Ministry of National Education.

A statement issued by the ministry said that the state schools will remain closed on Monday because there were a large number of state teachers who will be on duty at polling stations at Sunday’s general election.

The statement also added that there were quite a high number of public schools which will be used as polling stations which was why the decision to keep state schools closed on Monday was taken.
