Man who was arrested in Lefkosa for breaking into a house and stealing two mobile phones released on bail

Michael Matsıkıtı who was arrested by the North Cyprus police on Friday last week in lefkosa on the grounds that he broke into a house and took away two mobile phones, chargers and a thousand TL cash has been released on bail from police detention while investigation continues.

The suspect who was charged to court on Saturday for allegedly "breaking into a house" and "intentional damage", was released on bail by a Lefkosa court on Monday until the case is fully investigated.

The incident reportedly happened on the 19th of January between 01:15 pm - 06.30pm on the first floor of an apartment in Karanfil Street Gönyeli where he is said to have broken into the kitchen through the window.

The Judge ordered the suspect to hand over his traveling documents and identity to the police until investigation is completed.

Report reaching us says he is innocent of the allegations. We hope he is proven innocent.
