Man assaults 13-year-old girl in Famagusta

The year is just three days old and strange things are already happening.. A 40-year old Turkish Cypriot man has been arrested for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in Famagusta. 

The accused Bülent Yilmaz was arrested in the Bedis Picnic Area in Famagusta, last week following a complaint by the girl.  

According to report by Turkish Cypriot daily, Kibris, Bülent Yilmaz, who is an auto electrician took the girl and her friend to the Bedis Picnic Area along with his daughter with the excuse of bringing the two girls home. He then told his daughter and her friend to leave the car so he can talk to the victim. When he noticed that the other girls had moved out of the car, he went to the back of the car with the pretext of talking to the girl where he sexually abused her by touching her. 

The suspect was arrested on the grounds that he was involved in sexual abuse and sexual assault of a girl under the age of 16, and was arraigned in a Famagusta court on Sunday, December, 31 where he was ordered to remain in detention for three days.

According to police report, alcohol was found on him during his arrest.
