Arsenal signs Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Manchester United

Following Alexis Sanchez's move to Manchester United from Arsenal on Monday, Henrikh Mkhitaryan have completed his transfer to Arsenal in a deal that involved the direct swapping of both players.

Speaking on his arrival at the Emirate, Mkhitaryan in an Arsenal statement said:

I'm very happy that we could finish this deal and I'm very happy to be here. It's a dream come true because I've always dreamed of playing for Arsenal. Now that I'm here, I'll do my best for this club to create history.

Arsenal coach Wenger added:

Henrikh is a very complete player. He creates chances, he defends well, he can absorb distances and he’s very committed as well. I must say he’s a player who has all the attributes.

Mkhitaryan, 29 who spent one and a half season at Old Traffird following his transfer from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2016 signed a deal that could keep him at the Gunners until the summer of 2021.

Mkhitaryan played a huge part in United's Europa League triumph in 2016-17, scoring the second goal in the 2-0 victory over Ajax in last May's final.
