TRNC announces scholarships for 85 students
The
TRNC Ministry of Higher Education and Foreign Affairs has announced the release of the names of students who were offered scholarship by the ministry.
According to the Ministry, 55 students who filed for scholarship and completed a research, and 30 students have been granted scholarship after investigation by the Directorate of Social Services showed that they exceeded the income criteria.
The Director of the Department of Higher Education and Foreign Affairs, Ziya Öztürkler said in a statement that the applications for scholarships for the 2017-2018 academic year will continue to be evaluated.
He however noted that the applicants, who completed the researches on socio-economic situation and submitted to the appellate and evaluated, will continue to be announced by the directorate via press release.
He called on students who got the scholarship right for the first time to apply to the Office of Higher Education and Foreign Affairs immediately and complete the file, while students who are late in the file completion process will not be given a retrospective scholarship.
