A baby dolphin was rescued off the coast of Iskele (Trikomo), North Cyprus after being found by beach goers on the Makenzy beach on Sunday. After being spotted by beach goers, a rescue
operation which lasted for around 45 minutes was put together to save the
little dolphin. According to report, Professor Dr. Burak Ali Cicek, a Biology professor at the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) was called in by the local
municipality to examined the baby dolphin for possible wounds.
After giving the all clear, the baby dolphin was led back to sea by members of the EMU diving centre.

It was followed 5 km into the sea,
and once it seemed it has regained a sense of
direction they let it go.
