Friday May 19th declared pubic holiday in North Cyprus

Friday May 19th  has been declared public holiday by the North Cyprus government. The day known as Youth and Sports Day will be celebrated with ceremonies in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.


Events marking the day will be held in front of the Ataturk Monument in Lefkoşa at 9am.

Wreaths will be laid at all Ataturk Monuments throughout the country.

The 19th of May Marathon will start following the ceremony.

 A Gala Night of the 19th of May Youth and Sports Day will be held at the İnönü Square in the capital, Lefkoşa on Friday night.
