Arsenal miss out on Champions football next season
Arsenal were reduced to ten men in the first half when Laurent Koscielny was dismissed for a challenge on Enner Valencia in the 14th minute of the game but still held on to beat Everton with goals from Hector Bellerin, Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey but still missed out on a top-four finish by just one point.
Liverpool secured Champions League football for the second time in eight years after their victory over Middlesbrough with goals coming from Georginio Wijnaldum, Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana.
Manchester City secured third spot with a 5-0 win against Watford with goals from Vincent Kompany, Sergio Aguero (2), Fernandinho and Gabriel Jesus, at Vicarage Road in Walter Mazzarri's last game in charge of the Hornets.
Premier League champions Chelsea ended the season on a high, after surviving an early scare from Sunderland and defeating the Black Cat 5-1, with goals from Willian, Eden Hazard, Pedro and Michy Batshuayi (2) as John Terry played his final game for the club ahead of his departure this summer.
The biggest winner of the night, Tottenham who had already made secured second place demolished Hull 7-1 with goals from Harry Kane (3), Dele Alli, Victor Wanyama, Ben Davies and Toby Alderweireld.
