A
late Spanish billionaire beer mogul Antonino Fernández who died at the
age of 98 in August 2016 has reportedly left £169m in his
will to each of the 80 residents of his birthplace - the small village
of
Cerezales del Condado in north west Spain, making them millionaire
overnight.
According to Diario de Noticias, Antonino Fernández willed £2million to each of the inhabitants of Cerezales del Condado.
Fernández, one of 13 children of his family grew up in poverty in the tiny northern village and dropped out of school at the age of 14 when his parents could no longer afford his tuition.

He emigrated to Mexico in 1949,
when he was 32 and went on become the CEO of Grupo Modelo, the
brewery company who make Corona beer - a bottled beer in the United
States, with annual sales of $693million (£556million).
Fernández was a well-known philanthropist was honoured by the former King of Spain, Juan Carlos, for his charitable deeds, including his work with disabled young people.
Fernández, is said to have left additional money in his will to build his hometown a new cultural centre and a local charity with 300 employees who will also benefit from his generosity, writes RT.
