US rapper Kanye West is reportedly battling with a spiritual crisis after being hospitalized for exhaustion and sleep deprivation on Monday
following the cancellation of the remainder of his US tour.
The 39-year-old was taken to UCLA following a “disturbance” at his personal trainer’s Los Angeles home on Monday night, after police responded to a call for help which came shortly after he abruptly cut short his show in Sacramento on Saturday after just three songs and launched a tirade into Jay-Z, Beyonce and Hillary Clinton.

in New York on Monday night to be with her husband.The 39-year-old was taken to UCLA following a “disturbance” at his personal trainer’s Los Angeles home on Monday night, after police responded to a call for help which came shortly after he abruptly cut short his show in Sacramento on Saturday after just three songs and launched a tirade into Jay-Z, Beyonce and Hillary Clinton.
According to The Sun, a source close to West revealed the extent of the star’s worry after he was taken to the hospital in handcuffs after lashing out at his personal physician.
The source told People Magazine:
“He feels like he’s under spiritual attack, and has been for a while.”
”Sometimes, darkness creeps in, and Kanye wrestles against it. He talks about that a lot. It’s exhausting, and it takes everything he’s got, the source added.
“He’s just so tired now; he’s very low energy and feels like there’s a grieving in his spirit. It’s very hard to explain, but something has happened recently, where he’s not the ‘Ye that everyone knows” the source said.West made headlines last week during the promotion concert of his album 'The Life of Pablo'' in San Jose, California, when he was booed for declaring his support for US President-elect Donald Trump.
On Sunday, he cancelled a concert in Los Angeles at the last minute and on Saturday he walked off stage in Sacramento, California, after 30 minutes of performance during which he attacked singer Beyonce, her husband Jay Z, Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, the media, and the music industry in general.
