Man charged for scaling Buckingham Palace gate

England: The Metropolitan Police said a 21-year-old man has been charged with two counts of trespass after climbing the gate at Buckingham Palace. According to police, the man identified as Daniel Sheehan, of no fixed address, was charged overnight.

Daniel will appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Daniel was arrested for trespassing as he dropped to the ground on Friday afternoon said the Metropolitan Police force, adding that he was not carrying a weapon and will undergo a mental health assessment.

Queen Elizabeth II was not at the palace at the time of the incident on Friday.
