World's highest bridge completedn China
China: The construction of the world's highest bridge has been completed in China. According to a report by the Chinese official TV network CCTV, the bridge lies 565 meters above the Nizhu River
Canyon in the south of China.
The bridge called Beipanjiang is located
between the Chinese provinces of Yunnan and Guizhou, and is scheduled to be
operational by the end of this year said the TV network.According to CCTV, the bridge was constructed in three years with about 1000 engineers and technicians involved in the construction.
The Beipanjiang will officially be recognized as the world's highest bridge when it opens later in the year overtaking China's Sidu River Bridge in the central province of Hubei, which opened in 2009.
