Hillary Clinton ‘leaves 9/11 ceremony after suffering from medical episode’

US: Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton suffered a medical occurrence on Sunday during the September 11 memorial service in New York prompting the 68-year-old to leave the event which was also attended by the Republican party presidential candidate, Donald Trump.

According to sources, Clinton almost fainted shortly before a moment of silence during the 15th anniversary ceremony at Ground Zero.

A video footage appears to show Clinton losing her balance as she stood with her aides for a car near the World Trade Centre.

She was seen receiving help into a black van from her security detail before she was driven to her daughter Chelsea’s apartment close-by. But the video is yet to be verified.

 

An eyewitness said Clinton's knees buckled as she lost a shoe before she was taken away by her security team.

Fews minutes later, Clinton emerged from her daughter’s apartment smiling to waiting reporters and telling them she was fine.

“I’m feeling great, it’s a beautiful day in New York,” she said.

Her campaign spokesman said Clinton left the ceremony early because she “felt overheated”.
In a statement, spokesman Nick Merrill said;

“Secretary Clinton attended the September 11th Commemoration Ceremony for just an hour and 30 minutes this morning to pay her respects and greet some of the families of the fallen,” 

“During the ceremony, she felt overheated so departed to go to her daughter’s apartment, and is feeling much better.”
