Heartbroken Adele dedicates New York concert to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as she calls divorce the 'end of an era'

Entertainment: British hit-maker Adele who could not hide her emotions on Tuesday night during her performance at a New York concert has dedicated the concert to former Hollywood couples Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt after the former filed for a shock divorce on Monday.

Addressing fans at New York's Madison Square Gardens, heartbroken Adele described the breakup the "end of an era".
"Brangelina are broken up!" she told her audience. "I mean, I don't like gossiping and private lives should be private.
"But I feel like this is the end of an era and I am dedicating my show tonight to them."
Angelina had on Monday filed for divorce from actor husband Brad Pitt, citing irreconcilable differences after been together for 12 years.
"I'm really really sad, genuinely. I don't know them personally but I was shocked when I woke up this morning" Adele continued.
"I'm glad I spoke about that because it was playing on my mind," she added with a smile.
According to reports, Brad and Angelina, who got married in 2014, were heading in "completely different" directions.
“Angelina has been very unhappy for some time — there was a constant string of arguments about their future,” a source revealed to The Sun.
“She tried to make the marriage work time and time again for the sake of the children, but they were in turmoil and it became too hard to see a way out. Their lives are heading in completely different directions.”
“Angelina wants to be seen as a humanitarian while Brad continues to live the Hollywood lifestyle and is in the midst of some sort of midlife crisis. She ended up telling him earlier this month, ‘I can’t do this any more’” the source added.
Brad is said to be “livid” by Angelina's decision to end their marriage. The couple has six kids together.
