4 killed as passenger train derails in Spain
Spain: Four people has been killed and 47 others wounded after a passenger train carrying around 60 passengers accidentally left its track on Friday in Spain's northwestern Galicia region.
According to the
Galician regional government, the accident happened at 9:30 am
local time in Porrino, about 450 kilometres northwest of Madrid.The train belonging to Portuguese rail company Comboios de Portugal was traveling from Vigo to Porto, in neighbouring Portugal.
Adif railway infrastructure company said it has opened an investigation into the accident.
Local media report says the derailment occurred on a straight stretch close to Porrino station.
