Iraq: At least 12 people have been killed and 28 others wounded after a car bomb loaded with explosives exploded in a busy commercial area in central Baghdad, Iraqi officials said on Tuesday.
According to a police officer, the explosives-laden car, which was left in a
parking lot in the Shiite-dominated district of Karradah, exploded on Monday night adding that 28 people were wounded and at least 15 cars
were damaged.
The Islamic State group ISIS claim responsibility for the attack in an online statement saying that the suicide attack
targeted Shiites.
On Tuesday morning, mourners held a funeral procession for some of
the dead.
Karradah is a major commercial town in Baghdad.
