Gunners eye Bony
Arsenal will make a shock move for Wilfried Bony in a bid to add the necessary firepower to boost their title challenge for the 2016-17 Premier League season. The Star reported that the Gunners want to bid £30 million for the Ivorian, though Arsene Wenger has yet to make up his mind.
Bony
could add competition for Olivier Giroud, and City would likely snap up
the Gunners' offer if they could earn a £5 million profit on the
27-year-old, who cost the club £25 million when he was purchased from Swansea City.
Bony
never seemed to settle in at the Etihad under Manuel Pellegrini and was
left behind by new manager Pep Guardiola for Sunday's 3-2 loss to Arsenal in Sweden. Following the loss, Guardiola was noncommittal about Bony's future and said he remained a City player "at the moment."
Leicester after the next Neymar
Leicester are ready to join the hunt for Santos starlet Gabriel Barbosa, and the Mail suggested they're ready to part with £23 million to get their man.
The subject of interest from Juventus and Inter Milan, Gabigol is one of South America's brightest young talents.
The Foxes are now in the race and hope to bring the 19-year-old to the Premier League ahead of their title defence.
Barbosa
is currently playing with the Brazil national team at the Olympics,
where the Neymar-led squad are struggling, having not scored a goal in
180 minutes of play against South Africa and Iraq.
Bolasie to make huge move to Toffees
Everton have pocketed a huge windfall with the money they received from the sale of John Stones
to Manchester City and are set to excite their fans and reinvest in the
sale of the England international by capturing Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie.
Sources told ESPN FC that a £30 million deal with the Eagles is close, and Everton could throw in Oumar Niasse to complete the package.
Niasse
joined Everton for an astonishing £13.5 million in January but looks a
shadow of the player the Merseysiders thought they were getting and
might look at a move to South London as a way to revitalise his career.
Kone to replace Stones
Everton are determined to strengthen after losing Stones to Manchester City on Tuesday for £47.5 million.
However, the Toffees and Ronald Koeman will reportedly target a very different type of defender in Sunderland's Lamine Kone, who only joined the Black Cats in January.
Everton have bid £18 million for the Ivorian,
and the player is on Merseyside to discuss a move to Goodison. However,
Kone's agent, Mark McKay, said his client will be back with Sunderland
for training on Wednesday and available for his current club's Premier
League opener against Manchester City on Saturday.
