Fans mock statue of Luis Suarez in Uruguay meant to honour the Barca footballer calling it ugly

Uruguay: Uruguay and Barcelona striker Luis Suarez  has been honoured with a statue in his native hometown in Uruguayan but his fans have lambasted the sculptor Alberto Morales Saravia, calling the statue a very ugly’ version of the footballer. See fans reactions below

According to the sculptor in the face of criticism from fans, he admitted that even before the job was unveiled that he’d never met the player before and was working from photos he had found of him on the internet.

Fans went as far to compared the Suarez statue to the statue eyesore built for Lionel Messi in Argentina.
During the planning process, Saravia explainedt o media houses in Uruguay that;

 “What I am doing is very difficult. I’m doing it by looking at photos.”
