Meet SweePee the world’s ugliest dog

 

US: Meet SweePee Rambo, a blind Chihuahua/Chinese Crested mix who won the World’s Ugliest Dog Contest in Petaluma, California on Friday.

Dogs from around the world took part in the annual contest, which honors "homely hounds." 

Owner of the 17 year old dog, Jason Wurtz of Encino, California, said the pooch was a gift to his ex-wife, but took possession of the dog when the couple split, because his wife thought SweePee Rambo was ugly which has just been proved!

Sweepee Rambo who has competed in the competition three times is bug-eyed, old, arthritic, almost toothless and sometimes uncontrollable.

Jason Wurtz, who took home a $2000 cash prize and a trophy, said he told jealous girlfriends,

“She was here when you came and she’ll be here when you leave.”

In a statement by CEO of the Sonoma-Marin Fair. he said

“We’re proud to celebrate all dogs and pets by showing that no matter their imperfections, they are adoptable, lovable and a great add to any family.”
