Clinton leads Trump by 11 points in online poll
US: In an online poll conducted by Reuters/Ipsos, Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump
by 11 points in the US presidential race, with evidence of a slight change since Clinton became the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.
The poll,
which was conducted from Monday to Friday, shows 46 per cent of likely voters
support Clinton while 34.8 per cent back Trump and another 19.2 percent voters undecided. In the same poll carried out last week, Clinton's lead was almost the same, before she had gathered enough convention delegates to win the nomination and before Trump attracted criticism from leaders of both parties for his remarks against a Mexican-American judge.
Trump who became the presumptive Republican nominee in May, enjoyed a bigger rise having trailed Clinton, for most part of the year.
Clinton who this week defeated party rival Bernie Sanders, has won the endorsements of President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and other party leaders.
Friday's results had 1276 respondents and a credibility interval, a measure of accuracy, of 3.2 percentage points.
