Chinese man beats wife, forces her into car boot while onlookers do nothing

 

China: A Chinese man was filmed beating his wife and then forcing her into his car boot at a petrol station in China’s Changzhou city in Hebei province while nobody intervenes. See video after the cut

The footage showed the man slapping the woman and pushing her down into the boot.
Despite the presence of onlookers, the man continues to wrestle with the woman and eventually shuts her in the boot after subduing her.

The clip showed the man standing around briefly before returing to the driver’s seat.


The video has since gone viral on Chinese social media and has attracted a several response and criticism from online users.
Earlier this year, China launched its first law against domestic violence, but one in four married women still experience abuse at home.
