Eurosport Paper Round: Lewandowski talks with Real Madrid, Barca's £25m bid for Stones
Bayern Munich's Polish international Robert Lewandowski
looks set for the exit, as Real Madrid is set to launch a bid according
to the Daily Mail. The report says that despite the fact Lewandowski
has three years left on his contract, the Polish striker failed to agree
to contract extension with the club and has made it no secret he'd like
a change of scenery. Madrid would have to stump up over £50 million to
get Lewandowski to the club.
Barcelona prepare £25 million bid for John Stones
Barcelona will make an offer to Everton's
John Stones this week, believed to be around £25 million according to
the Daily Mail. This bid by Barcelona is according to the report well
short of the £45 million Everton value Stones at. The Catalans had
previously gone a little cold on Stones, but are now back in the market
after it's believed that main target Marquinhos will now stay at Paris Saint-Germain. It's believed that Manchester United and City will join the bidding war for Stones, ensuring the saga to drag out through the summer.
Antonio Conte and Chelsea in constant contact with Paul Pogba
The Sun are reporting that incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has made Juventus'
Paul Pogba a transfer priority, with any deal going down being worth
£76 million. The French box to box midfielder has been targeted by a
range of European football's elite, including both Real Madrid and
Barcelona. The report believes that Chelsea are leading the race for
Pogba, as Antonio Conte - the man who brought him from Man United to
Juve - has said the club must prioritise signing Pogba despite the high
price. It is also believed that Manchester United are also interested in
their former prodigy, who left after friction between Sir Alex Ferguson and his agent Mino Raiola.
Leicester's £18 million bid for Steven N'Zonzi rejected by Sevilla
The Mirror are reporting that Leicester City's
£18 million bid for Sevilla's Steven N'Zonzi has failed, but the
champions remain hopeful as he seeks a Premier League return. N'Zonzi
left Stoke last season for La Liga, as the midfielder helped Sevilla
return to form in the league and played a role in taking the club to a
third-straight Europa glory. The report says that the 27 year old wants
to play Champions League, as Leicester seek to recruit reinforcements as
N'Golo Kante
could be out the door. Sevilla have insisted that his buyout clause is
£21 million and other Premier League clubs could be interested in
N'Zonzi's services.
