Watch horrifying moment Komodo dragon eats a live monkey whole in just six gulps

The moment a Komodo dragon devours a giant monkey whole has been caught in a clip.

The 10ft Indonesian lizard - widely believed to have a venomous bite - can be seen guzzling down the live primate from head to feet in just six gulps.

The footage opens with the ape already halfway down the Komodo's gullet.

It is thrown further down its throat until the unfortunate animal's feet fully disappear from view.

The monkey's tail is the last to be swallowed. The Komodo dragon - native to the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores and Gili Motang - is one of the world's most fearsome predators, normally feasting on pigs, deer and snakes.

The beasts can run up to 15 miles per hour, and have been known to devour prey nearly 80 per cent of their own size.

New pill makes farts smell like roses invented

We all know someone guilty of being able to clear a room in five seconds flat — this inventor may have found the solution.

An inventor claims his pills make your farts smell like roses or chocolate.

They also come in ginger, violet, chocolate, and lily of the valley — and can be given to pets.

Christian Poincheval, 69, said he got the idea while “at a table with friends after a copious meal when we nearly asphyxiated ourselves.

The gas wasn’t great for our table neighbours. Something had to be done about this.
You can disguise the sound of a fart but not the stench.

He began selling the pills as dietary supplements to locals before expanding his range to "add a touch of humour for any occasion".

Christian advises taking them a week before stinky guffs would be unacceptable. A powder version is available for dogs.

The tablets are made from natural ingredients and sold by French company PilulePet for around $36 for a pack of 60.

The company's website says:

If you are tired of rolling down the car windows then this is for you! Capsules are packaged discreetly to avoid any embarrassment.

Pet owners can simply sprinkle the powder onto their pets' food rather than having to feed them pills.

I will only take a job where the ‘Mourinhistas’ want me - Mourinho

Jose Mourinho insists he will only take a job where the true ‘Mourinhistas’ will have him.

Jose Mourinho has been out of work since December
The Portuguese tactician has been out of work since Manchester United sacked him last December and replaced him with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Despite having a number of offers to tempt him back into the game, the former Chelsea, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Porto coach is still biding his time.

But the 56-year-old is adamant he will only take a position if he is truly wanted by the club.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Mourinho said:

The most difficult thing for me is saying 'no' to the possibilities. I had to work, because, inside of me, I [always] have that impulse of wanting to work. [If] I have an opportunity to work, [I want to say] 'let's work'. To say 'no' is very, very, very, very difficult.
Why do I say 'no'? I say 'no' because it's not [at] the level of challenge that I want. But, with all respect to the possibilities I have had and the clubs involved, I want the right to choose the people who are 'Mourinhista' - like people say in Portugal, Spain and Italy - 'Mourinhista' is someone who is a fan.
The 'Mourinhistas' want me where I belong, so, for me now, it's not a question of [saying], 'okay I have this offer and I'm going to take it'.
I have to be patient and wait for the right opportunity and the right opportunity is one that is at the same size and the same level that I am as a manager.
It is the most difficult thing because I have the impulse during this period, so many times to say 'Yes, I go'. But no, I cannot go. I cannot go. I have to wait for the exact right one.
I [have] never told who [is the right one]. I never do that. Lots of respect for the people that think I am the right guy for them and I never do that.

Gareth Bale withdraws from Real Madrid squad, Manchester United should allow Pogba leave, Bastian Schweinsteiger

Gareth Bale has pulled out of Real Madrid's trip to Munich for a pre-season tournament, following the collapse of his proposed move to China.

It is understood Bale is not in the right mental state to play after Real president Florentino Perez prevented him from joining Jiangsu Suning.

Last week, Real boss Zinedine Zidane said the 30-year-old was "very close to leaving" having fallen out of favour.

Zidane added his exit would be "best for everyone".

The 33-time Spanish champions will play Bale's former club Tottenham on Tuesday in the opening game of the tournament that also includes Bayern Munich and Fenerbahce.

Bale joined the Spanish club for £85m from Tottenham in 2013 in a world record deal at the time.

He has three years left on his contract with the Bernabeu club where he has won four Champions Leagues, one La Liga title, a Copa del Rey, three Uefa Super Cups and three Club World Cups.

It has been reported Real blocked Bale's move as they are demanding a transfer fee for the player.

Meanwhile, former Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has told the club to allow Paul Pogba leave the club if he wants to leave.

Pogba, 26, has previously spoken of finding "a new challenge" while his agent has said the France international wants to leave Old Trafford.

Schweinsteiger played alongside Pogba during his two years at United before his 2017 move to Chicago Fire.

If a player wants to leave the club, you shouldn't stop him, he said.

In an interview with BBC Sport, former Germany captain Schweinsteiger, 34, added:

You need players who are 100% into the club and care about the club, that's the only way you can survive at the top level and have success.
Paul is a great player, he is just looking for a team where he can play the same style that he does with the France national team, so if you give him that kind of team around him, he would be happy at United.

Nigerian man arrested in the streets of London for preaching gets £2,500 compensation

A Christian street preacher who had his Bible wrested from him as he was handcuffed and taken away by police has been awarded £2,500 for wrongful arrest.

Oluwole Ilesanmi, 64, has welcomed the payout by the Metropolitan Police as a victory for freedom of speech after he had been wrongly accused of Islamophobia.

The former dentist was preaching outside Southgate Tube station in North London in February when he was approached by two officers.

A passer-by had earlier called police and accused Mr Ilesanmi of hate speech.

He admits to having described Islam as an ‘aberration’ but insists he was simply expressing his point of view as a Christian rather than denigrating Muslims.

One of the police officers claimed Mr Ilesanmi was disturbing the peace, saying:

No one wants to hear that. They want you to go away.

A video of the incident taken by a passer-by shows the policeman taking the Bible away, to Mr Ilesanmi’s visible distress.

One of the officers then says:

You should’ve thought about that before being racist.

He was handcuffed before the officer gave a thumbs-up to the camera. Mr Ilesanmi was then bundled into a police car and driven several miles away. There the grandfather was ‘de-arrested’ and let out of the car.

However, he was not carrying any money and it was only thanks to the kindness of a stranger who gave him the necessary bus fare that he was able to get back.

Scotland Yard has now agreed to pay Mr Ilesanmi £2,500 for wrongful arrest and his humiliating and distressing treatment.

Mr Ilesanmi told The Mail on Sunday:

I believe God loves everyone, including Muslims, but I have the right to say I that I don’t agree with Islam – we are living in a Christian country, after all.
I was upset when they took away my Bible. They just threw it in the police car. They would never have done that if it had been the Koran. Whatever happened to freedom of speech?

British woman who claimed 12 Israelis raped her is arrested on suspicion of making false claim, suspects released from custody

Greek Cypriot police on Sunday arrested a 19-year-old British woman who claimed she was raped by 12 Israeli tourists in Ayia Napa two weeks ago.

The woman allegedly confessed that she had made a false rape claim, cited police sources.

Cypriot authorities arrested 12 Israeli teenagers on July 18 following the woman's report of being raped by a dozen individuals at a hotel in the popular tourist resort of Ayia Napa where she and the Israelis were staying.

Seven of the teenagers given a new six days remand on Friday were freed from custody on Sunday after five were released on Thursday after investigators found no evidence implicating them.

The 19-year-old British woman admitted her report of being raped by a dozen people was untrue, a lawyer and Cypriot officials said.

A lawyer for two of the Israelis said the woman was arrested and faces a public nuisance charge.

Investigators concluded the accuser's allegations "didn't stand to reason," lawyer Yiannis Habaris said.

A report by The Associated Press said the woman voluntarily recanted during questioning just after midnight, saying there had been sexual contact with the suspects but she wasn't raped.

State-run Cyprus News Agency reported that the woman allegedly told investigators she filed a rape report because she was "angry and insulted" that a number of the Israelis allegedly recorded video of her having sex with some of them.

Their ages range from 15 to 18.

As the Israeli teens were released from police district headquarters in the town of Paralimni hours later, jubilant relatives were there to greet them with hugs and kisses. Some of the youths carried suitcases and got into waiting cars that drove them away.

Raw chicken breast comes back to life, crawls off restaurant table in horrifying video

The terrifying moment when a piece of raw chicken appears to come back to life on a restaurant table has been caught on video.

Footage shows a plate of raw meat on a restaurant table, including a piece of chicken that begins to twitch.

After hoisting itself upward, the carcass yanks itself off the diner’s plate as a terrified onlooker can be heard screaming.

The footage was posted to Facebook by Florida woman Rie Phillips two weeks ago and has already been viewed more than 4 million times.

It’s unclear where it was taken, but chopsticks on a plate would suggest it was a Japanese, Chinese or Korean restaurant.

People posted comments suggesting the movements were caused by nerve endings that had not yet died.

One person said “usually because the meat is so fresh the muscles can still move,” while a second added, “it was so fresh that some of the muscles are still firing off signals.”

Others saw dark humor in it, with one saying:

Hell no if my food is walking, I’m walking too.

Chickens have been known to survive and keep moving despite losing their heads — hence the term “headless chicken.” One in Thailand reportedly managed to survive for a week with only a bloodied stump where its head used to be.

Other raw meat has also previously been known to move of its own accord.

Footage taken in Guangzhou, southern China, shows a hunk of beef twitching furiously while hanging in a butcher shop.

Someone behind the camera can be heard gasping as the beef moves incessantly and can then be heard saying, “Enough.”

Homosexuality passed on to the unborn when pregnant women enjoy anal s*x - Cyprus Bishop says

Homosexuality is usually a problem transferred to a foetus, when a pregnant woman has anal sex and enjoys it, the Bishop of Morphou (Gulzeyurt) Neophytos said during a recent speech, LGBTI rights group ACCEPT said on Thursday last week.

During his speech in June to a group of people in Akaki, the bishop said Saint Porfyrios made mention of the issue in his writings.

It is a problem, which is usually transmitted by parents to the child, the bishop said.
He added that it occurs when the couple has sex while the woman is pregnant, and the sex is “unnatural,” as he characterised anal sex.

The bishop said that when the woman enjoys anal sex, “a desire is created, which is then transmitted to the unborn child.”

The video was posted on social media, where it went viral and people joked that they finally had an explanation for being gay. In a comment on social media, the rights’ group joked,

How are lesbians created?

Under the video, which has been shared widely across social media, people commented with other jokes, poking fun at the bishop.

Inter to make new Lukaku bid

The 26-year-old Belgian striker is wanted by Antonio Conte, who is furious that the deal has not been completed yet. After talks with Beppe Marotta, the club are now expected to contact United, who need any deal to be completed quickly to allow them to find a replacement, report the Sun.

Arsenal to improve player security
Arsenal are reviewing the security offered to their players after an incident this week that saw Mesut Ozil and Saed Kolasinac attacked while they drove through North London. While both players were lucky to escape unharmed, this is not the first attempted robbery on Premier League players as they are driving, and the club are seeing what other options there are, the Mirror believes.
