Two Britons — a permanent resident and a tourist — were found
dead in Paphos, south Cyprus within hours of each other in two unrelated cases.
According to the report by Greek Cypriot daily,
philenews on Tuesday, foul play is not suspected in either case.
It said that in the first instance, a 45 year old Briton was found
dead in his apartment after his brother contacted police from the UK on Monday.
He said he had not been able to reach his brother since the end of
February and expressed concern, saying his brother suffered from health
problems.
Police visited the apartment and found the man dead on the floor of
the bathroom. They have ruled out foul play and say the death was due to
natural causes.
In the second instance, a 73 year old Briton who was on holiday with
his wife in Paphos was found unconscious in his hotel apartment. He was
taken to Paphos Hospital by ambulance where doctors pronounced him dead.
Police have ruled out foul play. The exact cause of death will be determined by an autopsy.
