Messi sets Champions League hat-trick record, David De Gea 'happy' at United
Lionel Messi scored a record-setting hat trick as Barcelona opened
their Champions League campaign in Group B with an impressive 4-0 win
against PSV Eindhoven at the Camp Nou on Tuesday night while Manchester United goal keeper, David De Gea says he is "really happy" at Old Trafford amid
speculation he could sign a new contract.
Barcelona predictably dominated the opening 30 minutes, but PSV looked dangerous on the counter-attack with nothing to show for it before the host came back in.
Barca open the scoring just past the half-hour mark when Messi curled in an unstoppable free kick from just outside the penalty area.
Dembele, who had been rampant throughout, scored Barcelona's second as Messi added his team's third with a cool first-time shot.
Messi then added his third as he calmly slotted home from 10 yards away to put the result even further out of reach.
The hat trick was Messi's eighth in the Champions League, breaking a tie with Cristiano Ronaldo for the most in tournament history.
David De Gea says he is "really happy" at Manchester United amid speculation he could sign a new contract to extend his stay at Old Trafford, while hitting back at "stupid" critics who blasted his World Cup performances.
Spain's No.1 has a year left on his contract with the club also holding an option to extend it by another 12 months until 2020.
United
would like De Gea to sign a new five-year deal. Speaking ahead of the
Champions League opener against Young Boys in Switzerland on Wednesday
night, the 27-year-old stopped short of saying he will definitely commit
his future to the club but insisted he is happy where he is.
The goalkeeper was heavily criticised in Spain for his performances during the World Cup as the 2010 winners were dumped out in the last-16 by hosts Russia, prompting De Gea to fire back.

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea |
I feel really loved at his club from the fans, De Gea told a news conference at Stade de Suisse on Tuesday.
I am really happy to play for this club, one of best clubs in world, so for me it's really good to be part of this club.

Well, normally I never listen to the people who speak about me, he said.
Normally I focus on my job and focus on trying to help my team and trying to improve every training session and try to be as a good as I can. I never listen to stupid things like this they say.
