Turkish Cypriot man shoot at while trying to enter his residence in Boğazköy

A Turkish Cypriot man is lucky to be alive after he was fired at by an armed man in a motorcycle as he was about to enter his residence in Boğazköy.

According to police report, the incident took place at about 4:45pm on Monday in front of  Özyalçın Sitesi, Özveri Street, Boğazköy.

Aykut Tukyu had just parked his car in front of his apartment entrance gate when an unidentified person, who had been following him opened fire on him.

The suspect who fired at him twice with a pistol then escaped from the scene leaving his motorcycle behind.

No one was killed or injured in the attack.

According to police, the reason for the attack was not yet clear as they continue to investigate the incident.
