North Cyprus to mark the 54th anniversary of Erenköy resistance on Wednesday

The 54^th anniversary of the heroic Erenköy resistance will be marked today with a ceremony at the Erenköy Martyrs Cemetery, North Cyprus.

The event on Wednesday is to mark the anniversary of the bombing of Tillyria by the Turkish air force in 1964 and will take place at the Erenköy Martyrdom at 10am.

The Erenköy Resistance and Erenköy Martyrs Remembrance Ceremony ceremony will begin with the laying of wreaths which will be followed by a minute’s silence in memory of the martyrs.

Flags will be raised to the national anthem and the special book will also be signed during the ceremony.

The importance of the day will be emphasized with speeches at the ceremony.

The ceremony will come to an end with a tour of the martyrs’ cemetery.
