Fuel prices increase in North Cyprus

Fuel prices in North Cyprus have been raised again following the depreciation of the Turkish Lira against the US dollar.

This is was first made known in an announcement by the TRNC Minister of Finance Serdar Denktash on July 30.

Prices per litre are now as follows:
-98 octane petrol 4.60TL
-95 octane petrol 4.42TL
-Euro-diesel 4.18TL
-Paraffin       4.11TL

Finance minister Serdar Denktash said that given the exchange rates, price rises at the pumps were inevitable. 

He warned that there would be no decrease in fuel prices in the near future given the weakening of the Turkish lira.
